CORPORATE GOVERNANCE TRAINING WITH HPW FRESH & DRY LTD

It was great to have worked with my boss and mentor  Dr. Kweku Ainuson on a training workshop on Corporate Governance & Business Ethics for HPW Fresh & Dry Ltd. For four days, we took middle-level and senior-level managers through the principles of Corporate Governance and Business Ethics.

HPW is located in the Eastern Region on the Adeiso-Bawjiase Road. It started as a small company processing dry fruits for export into the European market. Today, the company employs more than 1400 Ghanaians and processes tons of dry mangoes, pineapple, and coconut for export to Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Oceania. HPW Fresh & Dry is an environmentally sustainable business that employs several strategies to reduce its environmental footprints.

The company uses its liquid and soft organic waste for biogas production and hard solid waste for biomass to supplement heat and electrical energy. In addition to fruit snack production, HPW produces virgin delicious coconut oil for sale to their global market and the local market. The company is currently expanding its operations to meet increasing export demand.
