GHETTO KIDS appeared on Britain’s Got Talent on 15th April 2023 and got the Golden Buzzer while performing!😱 The very first time in the history of #BGT!

Here are some Quick Facts about the dance group:

🇺🇬 The Ghetto Kids is a dance/music group founded in 2014 by Daouda Kavuma. formerly called Triplets Ghetto Kids, the group started with three talented sisters named Pembe, Sharifah and Rukia)– but is now composed of about 30 children who are street kids and orphans from the Katwe slums in Kampala, Uganda.

🇺🇬 On November 30, 2015, they lost a pioneer member, Alex Ssempijja, in a road accident in Uganda, and it was a huge loss for them.

🇺🇬 Despite their loss, Ghetto Kids have continued performing and touring throughout Africa and beyond. The group have provoked the admiration of American artists P. Diddy and Nicki Minaj, and in 2017, the group featured in the clip of French Montana’s Unforgettable, launching their success in the United States.

🇺🇬 They have appeared on major platforms across the world – featuring in French Montana’s “Unforgettable” video and performing at a World Cup 2022 event in Qatar.

🇺🇬 In January 2023, the Ghetto Kids travelled to France to perform at half-time during football club Paris Saint-Germain’s home game against Reims at the Parc des Princes. They also met PSG players such as Kylian Mbappé prior to the match.

In April 2023, Ghetto Kids appeared on Britain’s Got Talent where new judge Bruno Tonioli gave them the golden buzzer.

All these happened as a result of one man’s dream to better the lives of kids from the slums.

ABIGAIL OF TALENTED KIDZ

Sunday, April 17, 2023, will go down in history as one of the best days in the life of TV3 Talented Kidz winner, Abigail Adjiri.

The fourteenth season of the popular Ghanaian talent show ended at the Accra International Conference Centre after weeks of electrifying performances from gifted contestants all over the country.

This year’s winner, 7-year-old Abigail beat stiff competition from 6 other contestants to win the ultimate title as well as a cash prize of GHS 10,000, an educational tablet, and GHS 2,000 worth of products from Title sponsor, Indomie.

Thatness Kids Models were adjudged as 1st-runners-up followed by MFC Dancers who took home the 2nd-runner-up spot with Rahman clinching the 3rd-runner-up position.

Despite her hearing impairment, young Abigail sealed the perfect victory with her performance at the grand finale that wowed the judges, audience and viewers at home.

Her exceptional talent week after week earned her a ticket into the hearts of all who watched the show.

Abigail, a pupil of the Vitnaya Academy in Prampam, did not allow her disability to hinder her dreams as she was determined to succeed against all odds.

After being announced as the winner to thunderous applause and roaring from the audience, Abigail took to the stage again with victorious dance moves that have since gone viral.

Throughout the competition, Abigail showcased her incredible talent by performing a variety of dance repertoire, from traditional Ghanaian music to popular international hits, and always managed to connect with the audience.

Abigail’s victory on TV3 Talented Kidz season 14 has also sent a powerful message about inclusion and celebrating diversity with the audience heaping praises on the producers of the show for their foresight.
